The Home Energy Affordability Loan (HEAL), is a residential energy efficient retrofit project of the William J. Clinton Foundation’s Clinton Climate Initiative Arkansas (CCI-AR) which works in collaboration with the State of Arkansas. Often, working families are living in homes with substandard energy efficiency and are thereby forced to spend a higher percentage of their income on utility bills, diverting resources from other critical needs such as housing and proper medical care. The CCI’s HEAL AR program is designed to decrease the utility cost burden of working families by performing residential energy audits and facilitating efficiency retrofits. UARK Federal Credit Union offers low cost financing of energy improvements.
PLEASE NOTE: The HEAL program is only available to qualifying employees of participating businesses. Please check with your Human Resources Department on whether your employer is a HEAL pilot participant, as they are unable to extend services to others.
HEAL AR and the UAMS Office of Human Resources host informational meetings for employees to learn more and sign up for the energy audit, providing them with a personal energy plan, referral to UARKFCU for loan processing and finally facilitating the retrofits. Please email firstname.lastname@example.org or call 748-0489 to reserve a spot. Employees are asked to bring energy bills from the past 12 months (or account number and information) to allow tracking of home energy usage. UARKFCU offers HEAL loan financing at 3.75% APR.
