Who Can Join?

There are several ways to become a member of UARK Federal Credit Union:

Anyone who lives, works, worships, attends school, owns a business, or volunteers within the City of Fayetteville.

Employee

Any employee who works for a UARK Preferred Business or Select Employee Group.

Family

Immediate family members of an existing UARK Federal Credit Union member are eligible to join.

Support Community

Join through our support of animal protection by becoming a Humane Society of the Ozarks member with a $25 donation.

Once you join, you’re a member for life — regardless of where you live, work, or go to school.

Gather Your Information

You’ll need your Social Security Number, a valid state-issued ID, and funding account information.

Open Your Membership

A $5 deposit establishes your membership and gives you access to UARK FCU benefits.

Start Membership

Before We Start

If you are not a U.S. citizen, not a U.S. resident, or under 18, you’ll need to join by visiting a local branch.

As required by the USA PATRIOT Act, federal law requires all financial institutions to obtain, verify, and record information that identifies each person who opens an account.

When opening an account, we will ask for your name, address, date of birth, Social Security Number, government-issued identification, and other information that allows us to identify you.

Select Employee Groups

Becoming a Select Employee Group, or SEG, is easy. An application letter is required and should be submitted on your company letterhead.

Your letter should include:

  • A statement verifying your organization seeks an ongoing business relationship to offer financial benefits to employees.
  • A statement verifying whether your organization currently uses another credit union.
  • The number of employees in your organization.
  • A statement that your organization will safeguard confidential information shared with UARK Federal Credit Union.
  • Your organization’s proximity to the nearest UARK branch.
  • A contact name, phone number, and authorized signature.

There is no cost to the employer to become a SEG. Employees and their immediate family members gain access to UARK’s products and services.

Letters may be returned by fax to 479-521-1193, mailed to P.O. Box 10260, Fayetteville, AR 72703, dropped off at any branch, or emailed to general@uarkfcu.com.

On-site visits are available to share more information with employees. Email general@uarkfcu.com if interested.
